Discharge

English band Discharge was formed in 1977 in Stoke-on-Trent and are considered pioneers of the D-beat sound and extreme punk. Their raw, fast, and uncompromising style became the foundation for the development of crust punk, grindcore, and thrash metal. Their lyrics are direct and political — against war, the system, and manipulation. The 1982 album Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing is regarded as a hardcore punk classic. Discharge still perform today with the same rage and power that shaped an entire generation of extreme music.
